Why Can't I Move Boxes In Word For Mac

Adding text boxes in word for application

Note: In recent versions of Word, select the text box, click the Format tab and use the controls at the left side of the ribbon to add a border, change color, add a fill to the background, adjust the transparency and apply effects to the text box. I am editing a document in which a client created a bunch of text boxes that appear throughout the text. I need to edit the text in those boxes, and I can't figure out how to access the text! I can't click inside the text box and edit it. It acts like a graphic.

Quicken 2011 update for mac. So it had us confused. Exactly as Stefan Blom says, it is possible, though I had not noticed before, to accept the deletion of the text box. However the only indication that the text box has been successfully deleted - the black line to the left of the left margin - is easy to overlook. It would be nice if, like deleted text as opposed to deleted formatting, the text box were to turn red. As it stands the text box is treated as formatting, which it is, but if the text box is also surrounded by a line then it is also content (as something that has form, colour, width) and that content (the surrounding line) does not turn red like other deleted content. So it had us confused. You may find it useful to display the Reviewing pane.
