As far as it goes, you won't gain anything by converting the text content of a LaTeX document into word, there isn't that much difference in formatting, other than bold, underline and italic. Other stuff, like mathematicals you couldn't do, as you would normally use LaTeX because nothing else can handle it anyway. RTF is about as far as you could go there.
